Visiting Assistant Instructor/Assistant Professor of Instruction- World Languages (Finance)



The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida, Tampa, is seeking candidates for an appointment to a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure earning position to teach Spanish at the rank of Visiting Assistant Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction, effective August 7, 2025. This is a visiting position with the possible extension for a second and/or third year. Salary is $50,000, non-negotiable.

  • MA from an accredited institution in Spanish or a related field of specialization.
  • \n
  • native or near-native competence in Spanish and English
  • \n
  • demonstrated success in teaching Spanish language courses
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications:

    \n
  • experience teaching all levels of Spanish language courses plus cultural content courses
  • \n
  • experience with online instruction
  • \n
