DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Defines technical infrastructure requirements for the organization and recommends solutions
  • Designs and implements technology systems, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs
  • Designs and maintains disaster recovery plans and performs regular testing for critical infrastructure services
  • Installs and supports internally developed systems and third-party licensed software
  • Configures servers and operating systems for performance, recoverability and availability
  • Monitors and resolves hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner
  • Performs routine system upgrades, patching, and security compliance checks
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system and application issues
  • Administers and maintains virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, KVM)
  • Administers and maintains on-prem container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Provides emergency response to critical outages or incidents
  • Aids in audit processes, including implementation of remediation plans
  • Documents system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for internal use
  • Researches emerging tools and technologies that help improve automation, security and performance
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliveries within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Participates in on-call support rotation schedul
  • Mentors and assists Associate Systems Engineers and Administrators
