Produce Clerk (PT) (Personal Services)

Our newest location is opening soon and we are actively seeking dependable and hardworking part-time Produce Clerks to join our team at Sayville Plaza team! The ideal candidate will have experience operating a pallet jack (or willing to learn), lifting produce boxes, and efficiently unpacking and stocking fresh produce. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining attractive, well-organized displays are essential. Position Responsibilities
Responsible for stocking the Produce Department which includes presentation of product, facing, filling, and organizing product itemsThe Produce Clerk will also be responsible for the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Produce Department, including trimming, watering, and merchandising of products to ensure fresh, high quality offeringsWill also ensure proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability and answers questions from customers in a friendly and helpful mannerOther duties and functions as assigned

Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of ageHS diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of math, weights, and measuresBe dependable and reliableHave an outgoing and friendly demeanor; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customersStrong communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environmentMust be able to speak, read and communicate in the English languageAdhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations
