STUDENT/FAMILY RECRUITER (OUTREACH AMBASSADOR)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Student Recruiter to join our team! Reporting to the Principal at ACE Empower Academy, you will think creatively about where to find the ACE target student and families in East San Jose. You will be the first face of ACE for students and families and must embody passion for the mission: ACE ensures students who are struggling gain the skills and will to succeed in college and beyond.

Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment

You believe that every student has extraordinary potential and that their proficiency and growth should be celebrated.

You are a mission-driven individual who enjoys working in the community, going door-to-door, making home visits and tabling at events.

You can use technology to organize and maintain lists of prospective parents and students

You find opportunities to promote ACE and raise awareness about our program to target families.

You are able to work with the school recruitment team and share ideas and receive feedback on approaches to your work

You are able to learn new processes and give detailed step by step directions to families

Student Enrollment and School Support

Support the Office Manager in flowing up with students and families on their enrollment statuses by making phone calls, sending text messages or making home visits

Communicating with the Recruitment Team about enrollment status and follow up needed, in person, via email or through the database

Provide support in the daily operations of the school day, as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Talk, hear and communicate with both adults and children

Use hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls

Walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms

Occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds and climb ladders

In terms of vision, have close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time while teaching in-person and/or virtual courses.

Walk extensive hours in warm weather while door knocking in our community

Able to use Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Calendar

Afternoon availability until 8:00 pm, and weekends as needed

Education & Experience

Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese required.

Outgoing with a strong customer service mindset.

Strong organizational skills with the ability.
