Aircraft Maintenance Manager (Finance)



As the Flight Test Maintenance Manager at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be a people leader and mentor who holds a critical role in the aerospace industry responsible for the development, certification, and demonstration of industry leading aerospace technologies. You will direct maintenance and lead a professional, highly performing team of planners, technicians, inspectors and mechanics, while working with flight test engineers, test pilots, and supporting staff whose charter is to supply accurate, repeatable, and cost-effective data to the engineering groups we support.

In this role, you will be a part of Honeywell Aerospace's Flight Test Operations team. Responsibilities would include direct implementation and oversight of maintenance for our fleet of 8 experimental and 2 standard category aircraft, experimental engineering modifications and regulatory compliance. You will also be a key member of Flight Test Operations leadership, engaging in all aspects of running the organization. You will provide leadership in processes improvement, developing your team and enhancing organizational capabilities.

You will report directly to our Senior Director, Flight Test Operations and work at our Phoenix, Arizona location.

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirementsAs an Aircraft Maintenance Manager at Honeywell, you will oversee and guide the maintenance and repair operations for the organization's fleet of aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and optimal airworthiness and reliability of the aircraft.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field
  • Certificated FAA Airframe and Power Plant ratings with Inspection Authorization
  • 10 years' aircraft maintenance management and direct report people leadership experience
  • Proven work record and 10 years interface with FAA office of oversight with no history of violations or revocations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problems solving skills
  • Experience in experimental modifications to 14CFR Part 23, 25, 27 & 29 aircraft for research and development
  • Familiarity with 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 91 and 145

  • Primary focal for Federal Aviation Administration compliance
  • Some domestic and international travel required
