Disability Claims Specialist - Claim Research Group (Virtual) (Finance)

The Disability Claims Specialist will perform social media reviews, database checks, and arrange for surveillance with our investigative vendors. Conducts analysis of referrals received to determine if they meet investigative criteria, may assign the claim to an investigative vendor, ensures the vendor has all claim related documentation for the case. May prepare written reports summarizing the results of social media investigations and recommend investigative action plans. Provides the highest level of investigative support for a claims organization. Assists in the development and coordination of investigative training for the claims organization and with identification of potential claim misrepresentation. Acts as a liaison with our internal and external business partners including our LTD claims organization, Corporate Investigations Division, and investigative vendors.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in disability claim management
  • Strong internet investigative skills and regular use of social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of LTD contracts and complex provisions
  • Proven ability to review complex claim records, leverage resources efficiently, and make informed recommendations based on investigative findings.
  • High attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills with strong ability to identify and resolve inconsistencies in claim information
  • Ability to appropriately engage other claim management resources
  • Strong prioritization and work load management skills
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor other employees and transfer knowledge effectively
  • Capability to identify and implement process improvements and to organize and analyze information to ensure objectives are met

Additional Requirements:

  • This position will work virtually, therefore new hires must be able to provide the following & all new hires who work remotely will be held accountable to these standards:
  • Subscribe to internet service provider plan with at least 25 Mbps download speeds.
  • You must be willing to troubleshoot any issues or outages with your home internet service, contacting your service provider as necessary.
  • Quiet area in your home with minimal distractions and noise free.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $72,900.00 to $108,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
