Electrical Mechanical Assembler (Finance)



SUMMARY Performs various mechanical/electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies of products to ensure the quality, reliability, productivity, and timeliness of shipments. Produces quality sub-assemblies, assemblies, modules and completed equipment systems of an electro-mechanical nature by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting top-level systems according to standard operating procedures and drawing specifications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assembly of various detail parts into semi-complex assemblies using various assembly techniques. Work is not typically highly repetitive, but the cycle of repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habit patterns. Must be able to work from detailed blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, or other input documents of similar complexity. Perform electrical circuitry wiring and assemble cables and harnesses. May position and align components in specified relationship to each other in devices and machines. May perform operations to join or secure parts in place using hand tools, presses, machines, and other types of equipment. Must be able to perform various assembly processes. Must be able to use various measurement instruments. Ensures tools are clean, maintained, and calibrated Notifies manager if parts do not meet specifications. Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations. Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner. Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company* SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees. (typical) Description I Electro—Mech Assembler I 1-2 years Entry Level: Vocational, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED); 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Considered a developing professional within the field. II Electro—Mech Assembler II 3-4 years Vocational, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED); 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; trade school certificate preferred. Considered a seasoned professional that needs little direction or guidance. III Electro—Mech Assembler III 5+ years Educational Requirements per Level II or high school diploma with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in related field. Considered an industry expert within the field with little to no guidance needed. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Conversational in any other language is a plus. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. JOB SKILLS Beginner in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred. Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams. Able to use calipers, torque wrenches, jigs, fixtures, and other tools. Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferred. Participate in 5S related performance teams. Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands. Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills Ability to collect and analyze data Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with high attention to detail and accuracy A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image. Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Ability to work with minimal supervision Writing skills required to complete documents and forms PHYSICAL DEMANDS As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing protection in specific locations. Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
