Senior Analyst, Logistics (Finance)



Job Overview

The Senior Analyst, Logistics will support the Warehousing and Supply Chain Planning area as well as identify, research, analyze, justify and implement optimized supply chain solutions for the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement all logistics and warehousing analytical tools.
  • Work with all levels and functions within the company to partner on supply chain solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for operations improvement through root cause analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Support and lead projects to improve our supply chain and logistics efficiencies through the use of optimization software, data research and analysis.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Warehousing and Supply Chain Dashboard creation.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly warehouse performance reporting to support operations scorecards.
  • Partner with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods to measure internal warehouse and 3PL site performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Enhance the logistics network operations by providing capacity analysis across the manufacturing, transportation and warehouse network.
  • Contribute to department projects by providing data research and quantitative analysis.
  • Support the transition to new systems and software.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years' supply chain analytics experience.
  • High school diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics or a related field.
  • 2-4 years experience working as a Supply Chain Analyst or similar role.
  • SAP experience.
  • Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem solving approach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability including: Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and passion to learn and master supply chain software.
  • Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise and logical manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.
  • Business reporting/data gathering software experience.
  • Network optimization software experience.
  • Building quantitative models in Excel experience.
  • Project management experience and skills.
  • Up to 10% travel.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
