JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Partnership Strategy will spearhead the development of comprehensive commercial partnership strategies aimed at driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, channels, and revenue streams, and aligning these initiatives with Blizzard's long-term business goals. The candidate must possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions and foster impactful partnerships.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Lead the formulation of commercial partnership strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, channels, and revenue streams that align with company objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure commercial strategies are in sync with long-term business goals.
  • Analyze industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to pinpoint potential growth areas and capitalize on market shifts.
  • Build financial models and forecasts for new projects to support strategic decision-making and inform negotiating strategy.
  • Develop and monitor commercial KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of commercial partnership initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including legal, marketing, product, and finance, to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial strategy roles within the gaming, entertainment, or technology sectors.
  • Experience leading and partnering with globally distributed teams and managing internal and external talent for various services and product support.
  • Proven track record in financial modeling, forecasting and managing budgets for large projects tied to commercial outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating complex partnership projects across departments, ensuring timely execution and alignment with the company's growth strategy.

Knowledge & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's overall objectives and growth strategy.
  • Data-driven mindset capable of understanding the player base and market trends to translate them into business opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of the gaming industry, including market dynamics, consumer expectations, and partner ecosystems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and alignment with internal and external partners, maintain long-term relationships, and ensure mutual value creation.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, assessing market conditions, and evaluating performance metrics to guide strategic decisions.
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and revenue optimization techniques.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $154,100.00 - $285,084.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
