Senior Application Controls Engineer (Finance)



Schneider Electric Systems USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Application Controls Engineer in Webster, TX.

Job Description: Develop cabinet drawings for TMC Control System. Develop a basis of design document that describes every detail of both hardware and software. Develop control system software algorithms that can handle control, alarms, and shutdowns, and sequencing for steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, surge control, AVR, process control, generator protection, load sharing, load shedding and reliability. Develop procedures for testing control systems both internally and in the field. Develop mechanical drawings for all products that Triconex provides,

including but not limited to quadvoter, TRAC, Speed Probe Brackets, LVDT Brackets, HPUs, and actuators. Travel to customer sites to commission hardware, software, and mechanical interface equipment provided by SE/Triconex. Eligible for remote work up to 3 dys/wk. 25% travel required (20% domestic, 5% international) throughout the US and Canada for commissioning TMC control systems.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering or related engineering field, and 8 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in Turbo Machinery mechanical and controls engineering, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Developing, testing and commissioning TMC Control Systems, including: System Drawings, Basis of Design Documents (Specifications), software that dictates the control of the TMC equipment, and startup procedures; Triconex Control Systems; Interacting with Mechanical Interfaces to TMC equipment, including turbines, compressors and generators; Designing TMC control system algorithms (surge control, speed control, extraction control, process control and AVR); and

Engineering mechanical products that Triconex provides (Quadvoter, TRAC, actuators and LVDTs).
