Advanced Practice Provider Genetics (Finance)



Nemours is hiring a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider for our Genetics team in Delaware!

Nemours Children's pediatric geneticist providers help kids with complex conditions grow up healthy. We look for causes of developmental delays, physical differences, growth problems, learning issues and more. This information helps our providers and families make the best possible health decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides care to pediatric patients as guided by education, clinical expertise and Scope of Practice Agreement, including ambulatory, inpatient (acute) care, surgical first assist and pre- and post-operative management
  • Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history
  • Performs complete or interim physical examinations as indicated by the nature of the encounter
  • Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests, including laboratory, radiological or other tests within the APP'S scope of practice
  • Plans interventions including medications, treatments and procedures, and modifies plans based on evaluation of patient response.
  • Initiates, monitors, alters or orders medications related to conditions or illnesses being treated within applicable divisions

Qualifications:
  • APRN: Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought; Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center; AHA BLS and PALS Certification upon hire. Delaware RN (or compact state), Delaware CDS, DE DEA.
  • PA-C: Current unrestricted Physician Assistant License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought; National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, BLS and PALS certification upon hire. Delaware CDS, DE DEA.
  • Education and experience working within Inpatient and outpatient pediatric healthcare environments preferred.
  • Must have 3-5 years of Advanced Practice experience.
