Network and Security Engineering Manager (Information Technology)
Oversee daily operations of the Network and Security Engineering teams including management, training, and mentoring.
Manage the development and delivery of IT standards, best practices, architecture, and systems to ensure information security across the enterprise.
Configure network devices including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, and printers.
Provide escalation support for network-related issues and mentor Service Desk staff.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to manage contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
Design and implement metrics for management of systems software and support disaster recovery plans.
Document and maintain network equipment and architecture configurations.
Assist IT leaders and business unit leaders in defining future project directions to ensure strategy alignment.
Use Change Control processes.
Ensure systems software is maintained at current levels and support emergency response after business hours.
Document support processes and technology reference materials.
Keep systems software within six months of the current level and at the latest maintenance levels.
Communicate with vendors for problem resolution and fixes.
Support disaster recovery plans and measures.
Possible travel related to existing networks or new acquisitions within the state of Minnesota & western Wisconsin.
Maintain documentation for all aspects of the network and security domains.
3. Relationships:
This position reports to the AVP of IT and Security. This position will work directly with both Network, Security, Service Desk and Digital Support Teams. The incumbent interacts regularly with branch and Association staff while providing support for critical incidents and reporting.
4. Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical and customer service skills in a related field
Eight (8) or more years of combined network and security administration, engineering, or management experience.
Five (5) or more years of technical customer service background.
Previous experience managing people.
Advanced technical knowledge of network, security, client/server, and cloud environments.
Experience with Cisco Routers, HP Switches, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
Experience defining and negotiating solution options considering risks, costs, and business impact.
Preferred
Certifications: MCSE, BCNA, BCNE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security +
Strong mental agility, critical thinking, and adaptability
Solid interpersonal skills, proactive, self-starter, and highly motivated

5. Working Conditions:
Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time
Ability to travel to various YMCA locations within Minnesota and Wisconsin
Ability to respond to emergency situations after normal business hours
Occasional on call duties
Ability to lift and carry boxes containing computer hardware, up to 50 pounds, during the configuration and installation process
