Manager, Security (Security)

Prudential's Global Security team is seeking a manager as part of their Executive Security Services team to coordinate event/conference security and support the coordination for Executive Leadership travel security. This critical role reports to the Director, Executive Security.

The main responsibilities of the job include:

  • Collaborating with the Event and Conference Team to ensure appropriate safety and security protocols are implemented at events and conferences. This will include assessments, security plan development, security advance and leading onsite security support.
  • Developing appropriate security plans for Executive Leadership travel, including coordination with Corporate Aviation, Event & Conference Team, local authorities, venue security, local security vendors; assessments; resource identification; and leading on the ground security support as needed.
  • Supporting related security activities with Prudential Global Security in collaboration with Executive Security, Event Threat Management, Workplace Threat Management and Security Operations.

Additionally you will:

  • Work cross-functionally to identify security risks and assist in the design and implementation of strategies and programs to protect, prevent, and reduce loss and impact to organizational assets.
  • Recognize potential and current physical security threats to Prudential and its senior executives.
  • Formulate mitigating actions and be able to effectively communicate and develop executive summaries, reports, and briefings of security incidents and operations.
  • Partner with Global Security team members to provide travel guidance, emergency action plans, security and safety plans and incident response for domestic and international travel/events to ensure levels of support are understood and commensurate to the risks.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute event and executive security programs with global teams.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage relationships with key external agencies, industry groups, and other multinational entities.
  • Engage, develop, and monitor relationships with external vendors, and report-out to a broad range of internal stakeholders on performance metrics and governance.
  • Interface with executive management and apply decisive action to a wide range of unpredictable challenges.

What you'll need:

To succeed in this role, the individual must be an independent thinker, problem solver, well-versed in global security risks and countermeasures, creative and able to make constructive recommendations for program improvements. Other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of global experience in Corporate/Executive Security program and/or law enforcement/government protection agency.
  • Strong experience in travel security programs, domestic and in international and hostile markets.
  • Possess a strong network of industry peers and contacts in Executive Security.
  • Experience in security risks mitigation strategies, technology, and program execution.
  • Possess strategic mindset to lead program development; independently minded and proactive.
  • Keen analytical thinker with proven ability to fuse qualitative data and qualitative analysis and produce company specific risk assessments.
  • Inclusive and proven ability to work cross-functionally to accomplish team goals.
  • Proven sound judgment, emotional intelligence and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in multi-tasking, analyzing, and determining contexts and appropriate actions.
  • Highly organized and efficient, intellectually nimble.
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Armed SORA and Retired Law Enforcement Permit to Carry, HR 21.
  • Be able to travel approximately 20% domestic and internationally travel required.
  • The requirements of this role will necessitate the successful candidate to complete a behavioral health assessment and potentially a physical assessment.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $107,300.00 to $166,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
