  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering from an accredited institution required

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with industrial automation control systems software (Rockwell / Allen Bradley preferred - RS logix, RS linx, Factory Talk View, etc.)
  • Programming experience, preferably with Python, .NET, Java
  • Basic knowledge of writing SQL queries and stored procedures, creating database schema and other back-end database functions as needed to support applications
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and Ethernet networks, especially industrial communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, etc.)

*Internal candidate identified, will also consider other candidates. Job Summary : This position will be instrumental in supporting and designing digital automation systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and their integration with ERP systems and plant operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Development and support of SCADA and MES software applications, primarily using the Inductive Automation Ignition platform.
  • Maintenance and development of database schema as needed to support applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic programs used by control systems.
  • Support/train manufacturing operators on the use of digital systems and software.
  • Documentation of all changes to production programs and maintaining revision control of software.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards for automation systems and process control networks, coordinating with IT infrastructure teams as needed
  • Project management and management of outside sources contracted for automation projects.
  • Support Manufacturing/Process owners in process improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
