Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Manufacturing)

Purpose/Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing daily package operations to prepare product for shipment.

  • Daily pick-up and distribution of U.S. and interoffice mail
  • Responsible for receipt of all FedEx, UPS, and other third-party deliveries
  • Verify packing slip vs. PO, receive into system, and deliver to internal area/customer
  • Conduct inventory and cycle counts in crib area, ongoing as needed
  • Follow secondary package requirements per process sheet and by looking up ES procedure in TSI
  • Labels must be checked in order, printed, and verify the process sheet for accuracy and completeness
  • Labels must be made from the order, assembly issue sheet, print, and process sheet in conformance with ES, ECS, and other product specifications
  • Maintain inventory of bags, labels, and printer ribbon
  • Position requires interface with Production Control and Inspectio
  • This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job. They must be disposed of in accordance with federal/state regulations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude & understanding of basic math (adding and subtracting decimals)
  • Ability to read and understand prints, process sheets, and engineering specifications.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to sit or stand in one position for a period of time. Ability to carry parts from assigned areas to the work station.
  • Dexterity of hands, some repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
