Postdoctoral Scholar Research (Finance)



Dr. Zhigao Wang's laboratory at USF's Heart Institute is actively seeking a postdoctoral research scholar who is driven and self-motivated. The ideal candidate should possess a strong publication record and demonstrate exceptional skills in the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry. While not mandatory, previous experience in viruses, histology, or mouse models would be highly advantageous.Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution.

The primary objective of the Wang lab is to unravel the intricate molecular mechanisms governing cell death pathways. Additionally, the lab aims to develop novel chemical compounds that can effectively treat diseases associated with cell death, such as cardiac injury, infections, inflammation, and cancer. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct independent research encompassing mechanistic and animal studies. They are also expected to work effectively with other lab members and collaborators and contribute to team-based projects. In addition, they will be responsible for analyzing experimental findings, preparing informative figures, and drafting
manuscripts.

TEACHING DUTIES (5%):
Supervise and train new lab members.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (5%):
Assist the lab PI to generate protocols for lab safety, animal works. Apply
