Training Manager (Transportation)
Flagger Force is currently seeking a Training Manager for our industry leading and fast-growing organization. This position will be based in our of our corporate campus in Hummelstown, PA.
TheTraining Manager position is primarily responsible for the management and development of the Training Supervisor(s) and Training Support Specialist(s) well as the curriculum development and enhancement of all field training programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages a team of Training Supervisors and Training Support SpecialistsDirect work to at least two or more other full-time employeesHas the authority to hire and fire other employeesResponsible for Training Supervisor(s) selection, training, evaluation, and oversightResponsible for the Training Support Specialist(s) selection, training, evaluation, and oversightProvide individual and team development, performance management, 1v1s, annual reviews, and disciplinary procedures for direct reports
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform skip-level meetings on an as-needed basis with the Instructors and TrainersReview and enhance all field training curriculum to ensure highest level of quality and safety standardsRemain current on best practices & teaching strategies for adult learnersAnalyze field training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programsTrain instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and managing field employeesDevelop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materialsDevelop testing and evaluation proceduresTrain affected personnel on new policies and procedures associated with quality assuranceEvaluate and determine instructor performance and teaching effectiveness providing recommendations for improvementWork collaboratively with Operations and Safety to ensure training content meets with organizational safety, quality and operational standards and best practicesManaging external trainings, working with Business Development including scheduling appropriate InstructorsWork with the safety manager to develop content and schedule Safety SeminarsManage development of instructors and specific TrainingsEvaluate learning retention and application of knowledge, adapting or modifying training programs as requiredContinuously learn new techniques for educating adults at various levels of learningMaintain all applicable Training Certifications
