T he Maintenance of Traffic Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in flagging traffic, reviewing and implementing traffic control setups per the Texas MUTCD and other applicable Traffic Control Plans. The Applicant should be able to proficiently direct motorists through construction work zones based on the specific traffic control standards and be able to review and make necessary corrections to protect the traveling public and workers on the job. May perform other related traffic control duties, including set up and tear down of project signs, correcting and repairing Traffic Control Devices, and minor mechanical inspections and reporting of damaged or broken equipment.

Required Experience:

Must possess a Work Zone Traffic Control for Contractors Responsible Person from either TEEX or UT Arlington and should be current within the last 2 years

Physical requirements:

The job requires the following motions: bending, hammering, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, and throwing. Requires lifting of weight up to 25 pounds. Walking and standing occupy most of the work day.

Uses tools such as a hand shovel, axe, brush hook, grade rod, sledge hammer, pick, mattock, post hole diggers.

Will be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather.

A Clean Driving Record is required to be able to operate a motor Vehicle with a Current driver's license.

The job may require work in either the day shift or the Night Shift and includes weekend operations.
