CI Underwriting Account Associate, Programs (Finance)



JOB DESCRIPTION

Eastern Underwriting Center is seeking a Program Underwriting Associate for Commercial Insurance.

The Underwriting Associate contributes to the achievement of corporate goals relating to growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and producer/client management.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Gathering and analyzing account information (loss information, driver information, financials, loss control reports, etc.) and developing underwriting recommendations and pricing strategy
• Coordinating account processing for renewals with underwriter and customer service representative
• Providing rating and issuance instructions including appropriate forms, coverages, and final premium
• Reviewing submission information with underwriter and preparing quote letter
• Documenting underwriting analysis information in the electronic file; ensuring electronic file integrity

• Adhering to state regulated compliance requirements and working to resolve issues.
• Processing endorsements within designated authority

Competencies:
The selected candidate must have strong communication, multitasking and organizational skills. Must demonstrate: Math aptitude strong business acumen, critical thinking skills which lead to confident decision making, familiarity with or ability to learn the reference manuals. Willingness to learn the electronic systems, underwriting principles, policy forms and proficient in Word and Excel. Ability to learn quickly, prioritizes work, and performs within time constraints.

Education:

Minimum High school degree or equivalent.
