The State Street Alpha Professional Services Team is looking for a deeply qualified individual to lead our complex, global Conversion Practice. This individual must bring strong experience in management, analysis, workflow design, data analysis, system flows and business architecture in order to create client solutions and execute implementation of the industry's first ever front-to-back client servicing platform. The successful candidate must be skilled in managing multi-year programs consisting of complex business models and flows across front, middle, and back office operating models in both an insourced and outsourced model. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and understand global portfolio management, trading and compliance across asset classes. This position will have interaction with, and exposure to, the highest levels of executive management within State Street and within our clients' organizations.

The Alpha Professional Services team in Boston, MA is looking for a qualified individual to head our global Data Conversion practice across multiple disciplines, technologies, and regions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This client facing role will be responsible for managing across a global portfolio of programs that design solutions and onboard new clients onto State Street's front-to-back platform
  • Set and influence the global strategy for the Data Conversion Practice and be seen as the global leader in the space
  • Drive the effort to implement and adopt best practice on next generation automation tools
  • Manage a global team of regional and functional conversion managers who will define and execute on conversion execution with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Optimize resourcing levels, productivity and actively manage relationships with vendor partners
  • Formulate conversion strategies with clients and internal stakeholder while maintaining and enforcing global standards
  • Manage creation and delivery of internal and client facing documents (client proposals, playbooks, strategy documents, lessons learned.)
  • Navigate complex client relationships, build strong business relationships, and manage expectations with client stakeholders
  • Drive the various stages of the transformation lifecycle across multiple simultaneous global clients
  • Provide regular status updates and supporting program reports as needed
Qualifications:

State Street considers all disciplines when hiring for a job and seeks out candidates who demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or above. 15+ years of financial industry experience across front office functionality along with middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services and data domains .
  • Previous industry experience managing Conversions across the implementation lifecycle with deep experience in domain based data requirements, data loads, reconciliation and delivery of audits to clients is a must have
  • Demonstrated high Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt or system knowledge of RKS, CRIMS, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO or other is expected
  • Deep client engagement and expectation management across project life cycle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured, and team-based environment, as well as work independently
  • Experience in Agile Methodology and advanced project management and execution using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) preferred
  • Experience in portfolio management theory and application is useful but not essential
  • Some travel required

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
